SECOND WAVE OF US, UK STRIKES ON TALEBAN STARTED

PARIS 8 Oct. (IPS) Second joint US, UK attacks on "enemy’s positions" in Afghanistan started Monday, exactly 24 hours after the first wave on Sunday, British Prime Minister Tony Blair announced a minutes ago.

"These operations would continue and I can the House that the second wave of attacks is now under way", Mr. Blair said.
