EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE TO THE US PRESIDENT
From the Political Committee of the Students Movement Co-ordinating Committee for Democracy in Iran
The recent statement of President Bush in favor of Iranian people’s struggle, is indeed one of the most accurate assessments made by the U.S. leadership in the past two decades.
His appraisal reflects the realities in Iran and the subsequent proclamation to name a week to remember as "the Week of Oppressed Nations", also brought a sparkle of hope to the hearts of millions of the freedom loving Iranians.
Unfortunately, all attempts and efforts, in the past five years, made by the Iranian people to bring about reform and substantial changes within the regime of the Islamic Republic, was politically torpedoed.
All indicating that the regime cannot be changed through reform from within, we hope that American officials would acknowledge that the speculative search for "moderation" has totally failed. The totalitarian cult and the dogmatic indoctrination of the regime are incapable of any gradual progress toward democracy.
The recent disclosure of financial corruption and extravagant embezzlements by the regime and its cronies, along with the unemployment, drug addiction, poverty, prostitution, and oppression; makes the political demise of the regime ever more apparent.
The proportions of a discredit regime have engulfed all branches and levels. A power-mongering mindset hand in hand with parallel decision-making process has literally paralysed the regime. The presence of shadow-government within government bundled with mismanaged politicians has forced the regime into a downward spiral of ever more deceit and delay tactics all to further avoid and to deceive world’s public opinion.
Last week in spite of restrictions, news censorship and flawed coverage, both factions of the regime; the Reformists and Hardliners failed to obscure the prevailing winds of change. Freedom-loving Iranians gathered to mark their support for the third anniversary of student’s popular uprising, in rallies across the nation. Next, the regime was confronted with the worker’s protest march across the streets of Tehran.
Thus, the US President speech and his explicit statement of support for the Iranian people alarmed the regime to orchestrate a carnival-parade, which consisted of its hoard of stooge on the payroll.
Fortunately, the regime is unable to inflict slightest confusion in Iranians determination for freedom and democracy; because scams they use have become so obvious to everyone that no one is fooled by such staged parades.
To the Great People of America:
We are well aware of America’s achievements and important role of its leadership in world peace, scientific and technological advancements, human rights, democracy, and freedom, fighting the terrorism and to sustain the global economy.
History bears witness that the Iranians have always sided with the American people
Iranians will remember your hospitality in admitting more than a million Iranians to live, to study and contribute to U.S economy. We are certain that, after removal of the Islamic Republic, the majority of the acclaimed and the educated Iranians who will rebuild Iran are now living in the United States.
For nearly a quarter of the century, Iranians are main targets of repression and the systematic government-sponsored terrorism. We certainly will need world community’s moral support in the battle to bring to a standstill the Islamic Republic’s machinery of terror and repression. The battle to establish secular and democratic institutions in Iran will also shape our history. In this context, it is appropriate to thank President Bush’s recent gestures.
The US President has stated that Americans are partners with the people of Iran. In response, one must say that the Iranian nation considers itself as a partner and an ally in the war against the international terrorism. Sacrifices made by our nation’s best children testify to our pledge of fighting the islamist support of terrorism.
In September 11, everyone witnessed that Iranians where the first to hold candle vigil in solidarity with the victims of the horrible catastrophe. We expressed out sympathy under the attack of the reform government. We grieved for the victim’s family while being punched and brutalized by Islamist Hezbollah thugs.
Iranians have no animosity of Americans!!!
We do not chant slogans against you nor do we insult the flag and symbols you hold dear to your heart!!!
What is on display in the media is a rehearsed show that is scripted by the current regime in Iran. An islamist regime usurped the power and now grapples with it through sheer brutality. A regime that has been formed by a cult of terror disguised in cloak. A regime that conspires to entice religious sentiments. A regime that trains psychopaths to murder, so that it can expand its turf of terror.
One should never be cheated by their trickery. The Theocratic regime in Iran intends to sever ties amongst our people. It fears the justifiable U.S gestures as it watches you leaning toward side of Iranian people.
In this struggle too, it will not be the first time where the American people will join our battles; As at the end of the Second World War, the American delegation to U.N., voted for Iran in our government’s effort to expel Soviet cronies from the Iranian province of Azarbaijan. And as in less than a century ago, Howard de Basquerville, an American volunteer joined the freedom loving Iranians, in their battle against the dictatorship and obscurantism to establish Iran's "1906 Constitutional Law".
To the Noble People of America,
Iranians wish to have a multiparty system in a politically tolerant and a pluralist society. Our fight against inquisition and religious prosecution stems from yearning freedom in a secular state.
As a nation composed of heterogeneous and diversified people, the Iranian’s quest for democracy is for acceptance and tolerance of individual’s religious beliefs or faith. A democracy where people’s political will is determination is manifested through majority vote. Where our political determination is exercised by people’s direct representation in a periodical, free and fare elections.
Iranians are undertaking a historical resurgence, which originates in wisdom and awareness. Armed with a keen and prudent political perspective; the Iranians have distanced themselves apart from both factions of the Islamic regime. Our quest for freedom is an independent and grass-root movement.
The freedom-loving Iranians’ pursuit of democracy will disengage religious governance. Iranians for freedom will separate clergy’s intervention in the matters of state and political affairs. The strategy of rational will position the people of our two nations side by side against the islamist terrorists.
Today, the Iranians are improvising means of "civil Disobedience" and ways of a "non-violent defiance"!!! The tyrannical rule will crumble!!! The religious despots will depart!!!
The "Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran" is thankful for U.S President’s speech and hereby condemns the parade staged by the islamist terrorists. We denounce the usurper regime in Iran as void of popular legitimacy. The regime has never represented our cultural values and now lacks people’s mandate. Thereby, the words and the deeds of the regime in Tehran is not the will of the Iranian people.
We hope to see more of action-oriented and tangible measures taken by the American government in support of the freedom-loving Iranians in our non-violence struggle of civil disobedience so to establish democracy based on people’s vote.
May our common battle against terrorism bring our two great nations ever more closer!!! ENDS SMCCDI THANKING US 25702
