DR QASEM SHO'LEH SA'DI FREED FROM PRISON

TEHRAN 2 Apr. (IPS)    Dr. Qasem Sho'leh Sa'di, one of Iran's leading dissident was freed Tuesday afternoon, after spending almost a month a half in prison.

A former Member of the Iranian Parliament and a prominent lawyer, Mr. Sho'leh Sa'di was arrested on 24 of March at Tehran’s Mehrabad international airport as he walked out from the plane, coming back from a month-long stay in Paris, where he underwent medical check up.
No charges had been announced for his arrest, but some friends said a letter he wrote some months ago to Ayatollah Ali Khameneh'i, the leader of the Islamic Republic in which he criticised aspects of his domestic and foreign policies might have be the reason.

Informed sources in Tehran told Iran Press Service that Mr. Sho'leh Sa'di was released on bail, but gave no details about the amount of the bail, saying only that he was at home and well. ENDS SHO'LEH SA'DI FREED 2403
